About the band
The Clefhangers celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2023, a huge achievement! We are the south east’s premier big band comprising of professional musicians and performers, some of whom have been with us since the start.
As a big band we revel in the original big band dance era of the 1930s and enjoy including in our shows a variety of intricately crafted arrangements of classic and recent songs. Our singers capture the uplifting feeling that performing with a big band brings.

D-Day 80th Anniversary
Heritage Paddock Wood are marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day with an unplugged big band performance from The Clefhangers alongside an exhibition featuring Lieutenant General Sir Frederick Edgworth Morgan KCB, the local Paddock Wood hero who planned D-Day and an arts and crafts fair showcasing the talent of local artisans.
